Merry Christmas from the Pub N Painters!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Pub N Paint Express market! Everyone had a blast making their own paintings, our fundraiser for S.C.A.R.S was a success, and our photos came out in the most stunning fashion possible! And guess what! We have your photos ready on Instagram and Facebook so you can show them off to your friends and family (and pets and Santa when he arrives). But while you’re here, please enjoy a few, uh… creative shots of our very own Pub N Paint Team!

We are, in fact, the happiest and least criminally successful of all the mob families.

A Blissful Winter Merriness to you!” ~ Lucy Cook, Pub N Paint Instructor

Whether it’s snow sculpting or painting vibrant landscapes, Lucy our resident squirrel is here for our holiday paint and sips! This little rambunctious artist kept our Pub N Paint Express attendees on their feet with her jolly jokes and holiday humor, helping out here, there, and everywhere at once! Busy little Lucy and the joys of her personal work joined us at the market a little later, but the energy she brought to the whole restaurant was electrifying and invigorating. If you missed Lucy, you should catch her at her next event, “Paint your Pet for the Holidays!” this Friday!

Wishing all of you a jolly winter walk for your jolly mental health,” ~ Cailey Mrochuk, Pub N Paint Instructor

You can count on Cailey, whether that’s being on time (ie; early), having her paints in a row, or being a creative wizard in her stained glass mosaics! By far Cailey’s art station was the most organized at our market, her teaching was (and continues to be) emotionally supportive and effective, and all of our attendees fawned over her! In winter, she likes to capture the beauty of the wilderness in her mosaics, with such talent as to show even the faintest of expressions on the faces of wild animals. Cailey primarily works our Saturday events at Rooster, but she kills it (the event, not the people) at private parties. Kids events are her specialty, so if you’re looking to book something fun and engaging, you should consider requesting Cailey for a private event.

Ah sh*t, is it Christmas already!? Happy- no, wait, MERRY CHRISTMAS!” ~ Kira McLachlin, Pub N Paint’s Assistant Director

Unfortunately this little Krampus wandered into the Pub N Paint workshop and we haven’t been able to get rid of her. A bit of a nuisance, she showed up late to the market, wasn’t dressed in appropriate elf attire, disappeared regularly to plant coal in people’s jackets, and managed to get her face in every photo. In fact, treat this section as a WANTED poster. Pub N Paint will award you with a sticker for bringing her in, ALIVE. Please contact kira@pubnpaint.ca for any sightings at Pub N Paint’s current venues such as Rooster Cafe and Bar on Whyte Ave, or the Canadian Brewhouse in Ellerslie.

Gosh darnit, and a Merry New Year too!…happy new year… ugh…

Yayee! This is the best time of year!” ~Ariel Durkin, Founder, Director, and sweetest human bean on the Pub N Paint team!

This magician of a woman organized and executed our entire holiday market, in spite of Kira’s attempts to foil it. You have Ariel to thank for saving Christmas! For weeks she worked long hours to bring you last Saturday’s event, marketing, working with S.C.A.R.S for our fundraiser, finding Pub N Paint easels, working on unique event discounts, counting and recounting supplies, and so much more! Make sure to give Ariel a big holiday cheers to thank her for all she has done. You probably won’t see her at any events in the near future though, but you are welcome to thank her via email at hello@pubnpaint.ca

And of course a big thank you to Media+!

Whoever they are. Do they even work here? I hear they’re pretty good with cameras and such….
